Trusting in God
I have heard many messages on this subject, many proclamations,
many exhortations condescending to the fact that we ought to trust in
God and lean not to our own understanding but in all of our ways
acknowledge him and he will direct our path. I have read many
scriptures dealing with the matter of trusting God and have been on this
Christian journey for a good while now. I Have taught many messages
on this very subject only to realize that in-spite all that I've read
preached and attempted to live, trusting God was easier said than done.
I've found that even though I've been a preacher and Christian for
many years, I still had not mastered the ideal of totally trusting God
until recently. I realize that learning to trust God the way we are
supposed to is a progressive thing. We often times go through a process
to really learn. Trust by Trial is what I call it. We experience different
trials and tribulations sometimes because of our lack of trust, We often
put ourselves in situations trusting in resources and not realizing that
God is the source. Resources have the tendency to perish and dissipate
but God's provision is ever lasting. God framed the world and
everything in it, has all power in his hands and is able to cause you to
prosper at any moment. So when you have financial difficulties do you
look to a resource to supply your needs or do you look to God to direct
you in what you ought to do to solve your problem? We will start a
series on this one subject "How to trust God". We will talk about a few
key principals that will help build your trust in God. The main text will
be coming from Jeremiah chapter 17, read it and lets go into it. Until
next time God Bless!!
